i found this on the ati website, its the release notes for the catalyst 6.8 drivers for notebooks. it lists the xpress 200 chipset in the compatibility list. can i assume that these are the newest drivers for this card? has ati begun to support this card and drivers? i downloaded them just in case, but have not installed them. thanks for the help.

edit, ok, i cant link to the release notes. here is the link to the driver page, i clicked on release notes and found the information there.

You actually want to download this file. Since your notebook uses the 200M chipset, use the drivers under the catagory "Motherboards with ATI graphics". This way you will get the graphics, and southbridge drivers as well.

did you actually see any improvement using these drivers? I'm using the last package from HP which was 9/2005. They are stable and I dont want to move from them unless there are some major performance improvements.

latest 7.1 catalysts work perfectly on as5102 with a manual mod (not sure if modtool works for xpress 1100... ive never used it)

also i will be posting some info on how to use your 5102 and xpress 1100 with dual monitors, specifically the LCD and a PROJECTOR at the same time without any esthetic issues regarding differing display resolutions!

soon! installing vista on aopen xccube ez18 (vista has native nforce2 support (!))

I also used some omega drivers with my previous 200m and as I recall they were a bit better then the catalyst ...
