Hi good people,
Well I got a problem with my CD Drive. The last time it work was last week. I watched a movie with it. since then, it fails to read any CD inserted into it.

My warranty expired so I cannot send it back now. You can assist me by answering the ff questions:

1. can I replace the entire drive?

2. Can it be done by myself?

3. It's a slim drive. Can i get any slim type of drive to replace it?

Yes, the entire drive can be replaced. The drive is simple to replace, it's just one screw and the drive will come out, on the bottom it's a silver screw with a 5 pointing to it. Any drive could probably fit but the drive's cover will probably be different.
