Compaq 6030US

Any opinions on this model? Compaq pesario V6030US
Im in the market for a new and my first laptop
Im looking for soemthing that i will (hopefully) do my homework on, occasional gaming (nothing heavy like fear etc, but be able to run most modern games that dont require a tricked out pc with a good framerate) and surfing the web/movies/downloads/ photoshop, and macromedia flash, (and maybe some light video editing with premier though, i will probaly rather use my desktop for that)
i also am on a budget, trying to stay around the 1k range, nothing over 1.3k ('cause i simply dont have enough)
i came across this, and spec wise it looks nice, though im trying to look for the battery specs, and other opinions on it.
right now circuitcity has it on sale for 949 (after 30 dollar mail in rebate)
which is the cheapest i found it at. but im still open to suggestions and opinions. If the battery life on this computer is pretty short, it might put me off from buying it.
