I was about to do that when they rang back and said that they had managed to locate a video card for the 7700 and I culd have the choice of which system to have. I went on the "general" part of the site and asked advice - three out of three responses said I should stick with the 7700. I have taken their advice. So - my assistant calls back and finds out that it's not in production yet becuase the back-pack is back-ordered. At this point I used some not very nice words and basically suggested that the back-pack could go forth and multiply. So hopefully it's on its way tomorrow and even more hopefully I made the right choice by sticking to the m7700. My only concerns are the weight and heat issues that I have heard about. I also am a little concerned that the thickness may make it difficult to use for typing. Especially hopeful that I'll be able to find out soon.
