I'm curious why this forum doesn't have a section for SamSung laptops. Freakin sexy laptops. There's a freakin remote controller slot on the side... DAMN!!

thats nice. the closest laptop I can recall that was about 1" thick is the sony X505, carbon fiber, no optical drive, fairly small. The awesome part though is that the sony is only 1.85lbs!

actually, there's a company out there called Dynamism that converts ultra-thin Japanese laptops into English units, to be used by USA users. They have some crazy looking laptops there! (And no...this isn't an advertisement lol!)

So true... Forget the Samsung... Have a look at the Panasonic Y5 which has a high res 14.1" screen with built in optical drive but yet only weighs 3.37lbs!!!! I haven't seen anything with a 14" screen that comes close. Even 12" ultraportable would be proud of that weight. To boot battery life is quoted @ 9 hours but 6 hours is more realistic. : Drool:

It can withstand 110lbs (50kg) in weight. Spill proof keyboard etc..

I've noticed they don't have some of the coolest stuff like the $7500 robot anymore. Not that I would buy one unless I won powerball but still cool as heck to look at. edit: those notebooks are still sweet though. looks like it hasnt updated in many months.
