ATA versus SATA

I ordered my 9880 a year ago and am now looking to get another drive. The one I have in there now is an ATA/IDE. A SATA drive will not work right? I thought they were the same, but after looking at my dads 100GB 7200 RPM SATA drive, his drive actually says SATA on it. My 60GB 7200RPM drive says ATA/IDE...what should I do on getting a new hard drive?

ATA/IDE , the SATA will not work on your computer

Yup, so long as you don't want to run your drives in a RAID configuration it should do fine. Alternatively you can ask Sager for an SATA cable (for like $10) and buy an external USB enclosure for your ATA drive (another $10) and go SATA instead.
