Replacement LCD on Inspiron E1505 - HELP!

I called up Dell because I wasn't thrilled with my new E1505 display. They sent me a new lcd in a box with a wire. That's it. No instructions or anything. Is this normal? I looked at the dell support site but I still have no idea what I am doing. Does anyone have clearer instructions on how to do this? Maybe reccomendations? I did build my own desktop a few years back so I can probably manage. It just seems odd to me.

Yes it's a little odd but fortunately it is quite easy to replace the LCD display

Make sure you have the right screwdrivers. You can buy a set of those for a few dollars. Progress exactly as instructed and take you time and you will be fine. Keep good tract of the screws you remove.

Good luck

That is perfectly normal, going by my previous POS experience. They don't send the whole LCD with lid.
