Sony XBrite

Wow, I was at work tonight (Best Buy) and saw one of the Sony models with the XBrite screen. Very Very Vivid color. Too bad it wasn't a centrino :-/ otherwise I would have sent my ibuypower notebook back and gotten that one...oh well

If your talking about the new 15" xbrite models than I saw the same ones at Compusa the other day. They were very very nice. The background that they used looked like a high quality photograph. The glossy look was very impressive. I had a Fujitsu n5010 for a while and the screen quality was similar but I have to say that these were better. If it wasnt for the crappy video card, I would've been tempted to buy the notebook.

IMO, I like the Fujitsu screen better. I played w/ the settings on both at a shop last month and while they looked similar at their highest resolution, if the resolution was lowered, the Sony started pixelizing icons, etc. The Fujitsu didn't seem to do that. So for that one thing, I choose the Fuji over Sony. Other than that, the Sony's definitely a beautiful screen.
