converting to NTFS

hey there,
if i convert an external drive from FAT32 to NTFS would i lose the data on the drive already? Just thought i'd ask..cant chance losing all my work!!

You shouldnt lose any data, but for sure its always a good idea to have a backup to your data before you do any changes. Can you temporary copy the files to your harddrive, or is it too much?

[Dont want to scare you. It should be safe. And NTFS is much more stable - ie less likely to crash - than FAT32.]
