I agree. I installed Vista RC1 on my Dell M1210 the other day too. It's running like crap with Aero enabled. And that's with 1 gig of RAM. Plus I have no sound at all. I can't find any drivers for my sound card either. I have it installed on my Dell desktop and I don't have as many problems with it. It runs pretty fast on here. But I do still have a few other problems with it. But you're going to have that with any kind of beta release.
So to the guy asking about running it on a notebook he bought for school? I don't suggest it at all. If you just want the look, just get the Vista Transformation pack. My notebook is also for school and I now have to reinstall XP, all the drivers, and all my software.
