phase 3?

holy freaking crap. its been on phase 3 since monday. how much longer will they torture me!!!!!!!!!

anyway, i have talked to 3 different reps from alienware and they were all very nice and knowledgable.

i was on phase 3 since the 28th of August and this afternoon i jumped up to 5

I've been on Phase 3 since tuesday, 12 sept.
The first Phase Game for me, and i'm already showing signs of pure paranoia, getting a bit dissapointed when i look and still my order on Phase 3. I haven't called for the actual status, so it might be that its already progressed, since there are no parts on backorder.

I'm stuck in phase 3 for the back-order of the backpack.. talk about a retarded process... I think I'm going to call and harass them several times today.

I may call and threated to cancel if they don't push the testing through.

I don't mind the wait because if they come out with a newer mALX laptop before I hit phase 5 then I can cancel and get the new one and be the first on my block with one.

if you're spending that much money on a premium laptop, you really should forgo the larger sized HDs for the faster spindle... If you need more space you can just get a usb mega sized HD. The hard drive is the slowest memory of the computer. Why skimp the speed on that??? (especially in raid you're going to theoretically see twice the difference in speed between the 5400 and the 7200 RPM).

Just a B.S.C.S.'s two cents...

Besides, you should really keep your OS on one drive and your data (photos, music, movies, etc.) on another. Think about a crash (virus/mechanical)... I've helped three of my buddies retreive data from dead drives this year alone...

And if you're going by the website's status, you may just be sorely diappointed. They don't update that. The rep told me that page was broken and there are several threads stating that they don't update that properly, but only "if" they have the time and resources.
