I8k fan gui...can't read cpu temp

It's a nice little program to manually control fan speed and monitor temperatures...I installed it and it ran beautifully but after a couple of days, I got a message that it can't read my CPU speed any longer. I reinstalled it, it worked for few days again, then I got the same message (?)

I know it was designed for 8xxx inspirons, but according to the chart on the site, it should work with a 5150. Any ideas?

Ok, it still acts up after a while. I have to go back to the settings are reset it every couple of days when it can't read the temp. Not a big deal, but it's a great program that I'd like to run without problems.
