ABS and their tech support?

Thread Starter
I bought an ABS desktop 2 years ago and have not had a problem with it so when I needed a laptop I ordered an ABS G1. I was having a problem with the wireless card, called ABS tech and their solution was to wipe the drive and re-install windows. I said no thanks and after a couple hours I fixed the problem. A couple days later I had a Another problem, called tech and they said wipe the drive again. After several hours I couldn't figure it out so reluctantly I re-installed windows, now my wireless card cannot be found. ABS tech didnt try one troubleshotting step and never looked at the error log. I posted this on the ABS website and another poster said he had the same situation but he called the 2net 24/7 support and they worked with him and solved his problem. I guess my point is... ABS ,you may want to have a talk with your tech support people, and to people who bought an ABS computer, if you dont get help at ABS dont forget to try the 2net support.

with tech support, i generally expect that someone is NOT going to be able to help me. it becomes even harder when it's from a smaller company like that.

i don't think it's jus ABS...i've heard some awful stories from people with dells too, which is apparently the paramount of customer support.

it's so hard to diagnose what's wrong with a computer if it's not right in front of you....even your are a "professional"...
