Screen flashes when loading apps or video (I6400)

Hi,

I recently got an inspiron 6400, and did a fresh install, installed all the current drivers, etc.. However, whenever I open a video file, or certain programs (msn messenger), the screen will briefly flash black, sometimes a few times. It's very unsettling.

Anyone know what could be wrong/how to fix it?

If you updated to the most recent video driver, I would try rolling back to one version earlier and see if the problem goes away. This happened on my 9300 when I installed the Xtreme G mobile force driver.

True, are you using the Dell driver or a 3rd party one?

I'm using the Dell one, which I'm 95% sure is the same version that's on my driver disk.. I'm considering trying a 3rd party one.. Oh, and it's an X1400, I forgot to mention that..
