dv2000t vs dv6000t

Thread Starter
SO I'm looking to get a new laptop. I've configured these two computers, the dv2000t/dv6000t, exactly the same and the 6000t would be $40 more. So I guess the difference is the size, video card (the 6000t has 128 dedicated, 128 shared while the 2000t is worse off), that's the only differences.

I like portability, but have never had a 15.4" laptop. Are they really that much bigger than the 14 inch oneS? I do notice that the resolution is the same though, no matter which one i get. So would I even notice the extra inch and a half?

I do a lot of video watchin on my current laptop and it's 14.1 and seems perfect size, but a little bigger could be better. What do you guys think?

if possible, you might want to go to your local bestbuy or cc. imo the 15 incher isnt that much larger.

dwd3885,

I'd go down to your local store as cook ding suggested.

Size and weight are a very subjective issue. The 6000t for only $40 more is a no-brainer if the size fits in with your needs.

I got my DV2020CA and I personally love it. I've had it about a week and a bit longer now. It's been nothing but impressive.

However, battery life is the only down side!

What else are you going to be using it for, aside from watching movies? I don't think you'll see a huge difference in the footprint so when thinking about mobility look at the weights of the two different models.

i actually prefer my dv2000 with the 14" over the one with the 15.4". I like the smaller compact sleaker looking style.

Just a question for DV2000 owners. I heard the DV2000 is scratch resistent, but I've noticed minor scratches on mine already. I have no idea how they got there. I just took off the protection cover about two days ago. Now I noticed a few scratches, but I haven't even moved it besides up and down the stairs from my house. I just want to baby this laptop as much as I can.

Perhaps it's just me or something.

Yeah but you can only see mine if you are standing at a certain angle!
