Catalyst drivers

Thread Starter
Hello,

I've just been playing the demo of Far Cry on my A-51m, and read on the Far Cry website that the ATI Catalyst drivers MUST be installed.

I downloaded the Catalyst 4.2 drivers from ATI's website but I cannot install them. This driver is supposed to work for the entire Radeon family, but does not want to install.

Anyone else running the Catalyst drivers ?

Cheers,
Dean.

You cannot install the default catalyst drivers on the mobile cards but you can instal the Omega Drivers wich are modified Catalyst drivers that work great on the Mobile cards here is the link to where you can get them!

Cheers guys ..

Would you say the Omega drivers are better than the new ATI 7.96 drivers ?

Thanks,
Dean.

I've had both installed Dean, and I would have to say YES. My games seemed to run much smoother with the Omegas.

Got the Omega driver installed .. Wow, some great overclocking options there.

Are you overclocking your card at all ? If so, what settings have you found to be stable ? It sounds like your laptop is almost identical to mine so any settings that you have found to be reliable, please share

Thanks,
Dean.
