GPU Reboots/Freezes during 3D Games

I've been having a problems while playing various games (primarily City of Heroes but others). Randomly the game freezes and goes blank and recovers (ie. it reboots - as indicated by the message that says the VPU has stopped responding and needed to be restarted). Sometimes the screen goes black and the system needs to be restarted all together.

I using WindowsXP with the latest ATI drivers. Any suggestions?

First and formost - Clean the unit, especially the heat pipes that lead to the CPU (Not the GPU). Also "lift" the keyboard and shoot air "down under" - so to speak to get rid of any "junk" and "Hairballs".
