Mandriva 2007 RC3

Hello all:
I just wanted to say that this is best install I have seen yet from Mandrake/Mandriva. However the repositories for this release are mostly non-existant. Also the proprietary Nvidia drivers do not install without the kernel source whis does not get installed by default. Also the ipw3994 ieee802 driver is pretty old and will not load on my machine (Asus A8jm). Also the Mandriva 3D desktop does not seem to work yet for Nvidia graphics. Still seems to not get all the hardware like Ububtu does. One thing to not this is Beta software so these things might get ironed out.

who cares, its mandriva! i mean granted i always considered their work better than Fedora or Suse (*cough*crap*cough*) but come on!

Ok well I was using Mandrake years before Ubuntu came out. So I have some respect for it.

dont get me wrong, i used to run Mandriva 2005 on my desktop for about 1/2 year till it got replaced with Arch (mostly because of more up-to-date packages). And I really liked Mandrake 10 on my laptop way back when... BUT! I have an Atheros card in my laptop and the way mandriva is configured you can't install madwifi without being a member of their stupid club so i am always forced to do it from source and even then it only works about 1/2 the time... mandrake! wake up! madwifi is open source software, why in the hell would i pay you to use it?
