I Will Save You Money With Dell

Hello Everyone,

My name is Tyler Colt. I own a company based in Novato, California with a friend of mine. We provide support for Small Business and Home users. As a perk to my clients and customers, I provide a discount on Dell Hardware and Software.

I have had my account with Dell for some time now and due to the volume of sales, have achieved a handsome discount. I pass this discount over to my clients and customers as an incentive to do business with my company.

I am posting here to offer this discount to everyone here at notebookforums.com. If you were planning on buying a Dell system, you can buy it through me and save yourself alot of money. You get the same Dell products and warranty, shipped to your door, but at a discount.

My discount is based from the "Small Business" section of Dells Website. The reason for this is Dell wants to push their "business class" machines, and that is the focus of my company. Anything available through the "Small Business" section of Dells site is eligible for a discount.

Here is how the process works:

1. Go to the "Small Business" section of Dells site.
2. Add any items you would like to your cart.
3. E-mail your cart to "TyColt@comcast.net"
4. Await a response from me.

Tips for maximizing your discount:

1: If you are buying a desktop, build the Optiplex G620 system, it's getting the best distount right now.

2. No matter what the system, beef it up. The more you add on to your system, the more you get off. "More Bang For Your Buck."

3. Systems over $1200 will yield MUCH better results than systems of lesser price. Dell has to make money too!

If you are "Just shopping" for a price, I will estimate what you will save, so that I don't have to make my rep work for no reason. I look forward to working with you guys.

not trying to be a dick, but we have 3 or 4 people who do this already here and they are well estabilshed,

as a test that might help with your abilities run some "sample" spec out's and show people that you can get some good deals

Oh, I was unaware. Maybe my discount is better

I guess I can dish out some specs too.

I personally designed myself a Dell Precision M90 Laptop that came out to be $3400. My cost was only $2200

I pretty much maxed the thing out, except for the ram. I had it at 2 gigs. The only other option was 4 gigs which was basically the cost of the laptop over again....

Yeah, show us what you could get a maxed out M1210, M1710, M2010, an XPS 700 desktop, etc.

From my point of view, this guy has a "Small Business Premier Account" and can customize and mix and match and recieve a nice discount along the way. I myself am a "Large Business Premier account holder" and i recieve close to 50% off on every system available.... Let it be known that in dells books this is reselling and the person doing this should be charged a surplus fee, but I'm willing to bet he is not checking the little box saying "this will be resold" and is notbeing charged this fee. So therefore, this is a highly illegal process and Dell can force action against him and the buyers if need be, and all materials are subject to confiscation.

Just my 2 cents, as I am a professional IT Global Admin, and I know how things work.

Your understanding of how the system works is flawed... Dell has no problem whatsoever with my handing over the discount. I have been doing this for some time now and the company I used to work with has been doing the same thing for a few years now. What you fail to realize, is that I am not charging anyone for this. I remember my reps words clearly. "You can charge your clients whatever price you would like, or you can hand the discount right over to them, if you want to be nice." Which is what I have been doing for some time now.

There is nothing illegal about this whatsoever. I did an extensive ammount of research before attempting to offer this to online forums and even spoke with my reps about it. I really would appreciate it if you would delete your crazy message and stop trying to scare everyone away. I have been reading here for some time now and the idea just popped into my head. "Why don't you offer your discount to the guys on the forums." Like I mentioned before, i've been doing this successfully now for quite some time and both my clients and Dell are quite happy.

As far as discounts go, I don't get discounts on the XPS systems.. Small Business Section only guys.

I'm a small business reseller too, and I check the box that says "intended for resale" and it doesn't affect the price at all. Our discount isn't 50% though, so that's probably your difference.

However, you'll notice that when I sell stuff on here, I say I am a dell reseller but also say that at least 3 other guys have been doing it before me, and I don't wish to step on their toes, as I'd get ticked if someone did that to me. In my opinion, Balthzar, Bluedevils, and Techaholic should really be the only dell resellers on here... but that's kind of a communism kind of idea. It could be said that you're running a 'business' and if it gets abused, admin will add a rule that says you can't run businesses in the nbf for sale section, then you'll all be forced to get a web page and up your prices to cover added costs. Just a little bit of foresight, I hate it when systems get ruined. You are welcome to disagree, but that is my thoughts and I have taken action on those thoughts, and do not advertise on these forums.

Geez, I sound like a fricken Nazi or something don't I? Not intending to be harsh. Really, I'm not.

that actually helps us just not them :P

/shrug i dont care if everyone was a dell reseller, we all get the good prices

Well.... what you have to understand is I am not taking any money out of the transactions. I just place the order for you with Dell.... If you read Dell's re-seller agreement, you can't do ANYTHING like make a website selling dell, or even call yourself a dell re-seller... I know it's wierd but i've done my homework wtih this..

Regardless, i'm just here to offer my discount to you all. It's a win win situation...

yes i offer service...

You sound like a standup guy.
Let me offer my support against the worried naysayers. I'm not in the market for a new puter right now, but, for future reference, can you get servers at close to half off? I need them every so often.

If someone out bids me you can bet you'll get my business assuming you're legit. I think it's utter nonsense for only a few people to be able to sell or resell here on the forum. I am sure the vast majority feel the same as I. The only person reselling the M90 is Balthzar and his current offering on a M90 is beyond my budget. As far as I know, Techaholic lost his business account and is currently not reselling at the moment. Bluedevil is only selling a few high end m1710 and beyond my budget. Tech had the best deals, especially on a m1710. Please get your account setup again Tech! BTW, my budget is $2600 for a M90.

I Have to butt in here, if you wanna sell thats fine but i have to call BS on not taking a cut. Even if its 20 bucks or whatever. For me at least, that makes no sence. The risk of some1 backing out on a purchase you have to make for them would be too great. no cut seems awfully odd.

I'd like to see some configs of what you can get i'll pull my statements out of here and leave you alone if you can pull some good deals

Guys give the poor guy a break if he is offering to do this for no money then let him, but then again when people offer to do things for no reason for next to nothing out of the blue I to am a bit sceptical.

and for the record for everyone posing in this thread.

Dell does monitor these forums

Dell does have a problem when giving out discounts of the proportion that is mentioined here. <shrug> its all good.

Just google the guys company to see if he is Legit, not sure what the name of it was.

all in all everyone deserves a chance.
