Fried MX7515

Yesterday My power supply fried my MX7515 (ticking power supply)
I called GW and I going to send it in for repairs.
My question is has anyone had this happen to them and what did they repair and also what was the condition of the lappy after.
The reason I ask is because I have had no problem with it before this and I read some posts about it coming back worst and with more problems than it went for.
This is the first time I'm sending in any of my two laptops.

Thanx in advance

sure, power failure & its side-effects accounts for a great % of laptop repairs

Thanx for the quick response qhn just happened to be reading one of you posts in NB review. Of course it happened when I needed the lappy today. I'm a mechanic in the Army and my first instinct was to smell it when it wouldnt power on.I was greeted with the smell of burnt electronics. I know the suspense is good for your health but I get enough by getting thru the day without knowing that I gotta go back to Iraq. This just puts me over the top.Dont really know what I'm hoping for the 5% would be nice but as long as I can get it back w/o having anything else happen would be great

Update:
I sent it off on 09/19 got it back today
They replaced the MB (good call qhn) but nothing else it seems to be working fine but it also fixed and issue I had with the video card see
"unusual video problem" post now I'm able to o/c the videocard. Also they didnt have to mess with the hdd so all of my files are still there.

imho - gpu oc'd is for desktop, in a long run it is not healthy for the laptop

I not really going to o/c but it just concerned me that the VC could pass the atitool rendering test until it was underclocked halfway. This made me feel like it was possibly going to fail. Now I know that its not a possible weak link.
