I will add more to it as I use it more and more

If anyone has any requests or questions, post away!

Pics soon! (how do you post pics on here?)

The Specs:

2.0 Core 2 Duo
2 gigs 667 RAM
120 gig HD
Nvidia 256 GeForce Go
Sound Blaster Audigy
8X DVD/CD Burner
9 Cell & 6 Cell Battery
Spare AC adapter

First Impressions:The first thing that popped into my head when I opened the box was Sweet jesus this thing is tiny! It is about as big as a piece of printer paper (with the lid closed). When I opened the box the 9 cell battery was already in it. I took it out and placed the 6 cell in to see how it looked. I definantly liked the way it looked with the 6 cell in it. Smoother.

Build:The build quality feels very very nice and sturdy. The lid is supposed to be metal, but does not feel metallic at all. I have been picking it up and handling it with kid gloves because it is my new toy, but it does not feel cheap and plasticy.

Screen: This is probably the most common complaint I have seen about this. It is very glossy. My LCD monitor is matte, so I have never experianced a glossy screen before. If you are outside and the sun is shining, chances are you will not even be able to see it. If you are in a highly lit up place, then you might have a bit trouble seeing. The screen is so glossy and clear that I can look in it and see mirror images of people behind me in class, its kind of funny. I usually have the brightness turned down, which makes the glossyness more of a problem. The brigher your screen is, the less the glossy will be a problem

Viewing angles are not exactly that good, but they are perfect if its just for you sitting in front of it. I think it adds a bit of privacy as well, you see FEAR and they see a bright yellow blackish blur. Serves them right, they need to shell out $2,000 of their own money to enjoy their very own "tiny terror"

Wireless: (have not messed with it yet)

Gaming: So far I have installed Battlefield 2 and F.E.A.R. on it. I could run FEAR just fine with very little to no lag at all on Medium settings. Battlefield 2 ran as smooth as butter, I had no trouble at all with it. I don;t know what that one guy did, but the environment was displayed as it should have been.

Noise: Have not heard any fans, even when gaming for about 30 minutes. The DVD drive on the other hand feels like a cell phone that will not stop vibrating under my hand. It was a very strange feeling. It was very loud too.

Battery life: 6 cell, with the brightness turned all the way down (in a classroom) it lasted for 4 hours, this was doing nothing but typing notes.

9 cell: Gaming (battlefield 2) I got 2 and 1/2 hours with medium brightness and still had an hour left over after shutting it down (the game)

Media Center: I was using it to listen to MP3's while studying and the damn battery was zapped in about 3 hours...I thought this was supposed to save battery power? (6 cell battery again)

Oh I love my M1210! It's the perfect size. IMO I thought a 12" would be too small when I first ordered it, but I love the size of. It's the size a notebook should be. I ordered mine with these specs:
  • Intel Core Duo Processor T2300E (1.66GHz/667MHz FSB)
  • 12 inch Wide-screen WXGA Display with TrueLife
  • 1GB, DDR2, 667MHz 2 Dimm
  • 256MB NVIDIA GeForce Go 7400 TurboCache
  • 80GB 5400RPM SATA Hard Drive
  • Microsoft Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005
  • 24X Combo CD-RW/DVD
  • Integrated Sound Blaster Audigy
  • Intel PRO/Wireless 3945 802.11a/g Mini Card (54Mbps)
  • 53 WHr 6-cell Lithium Ion Primary Battery
  • Dell Wireless 350 Bluetooth Module (2.0+EDR)
  • Windows Vista Capable

But I'm now running Vista RC1 on it now. I should have left well enough alone, because I use the notebook for school and Vista isn't running that great on it right now.
