Ok...Here's the deal: Ultimate gaming laptop Dell XPS M170
Cheap, Cheap, Cheap!!!

Specs:

Pentium M 770 (2.13Ghz/533FSB/2Mb)
1G DDR2 533Mhz (2 * 512)
80G 5400rpm HDD
Geforce 6800Ultra 256mb video card
17' Sharp UXGA+ (no dead pixels)
Intel 2915a/b/g Wireless
Bluetooth

The good: No need to say...too many positive comments around


The bad: I bought it second hand. Some minor scratches on the top cover and some wear and tear around the corners through normal usage. Cosmetic condition : not too bad, not excellent, so-so
The AC adaptor broke down two weeks ago and I bought an new adaptor last week but it did not work with XPS BIOS (T_T) after self-test. I don't have time to deal that stuff anymore cuz I need to study. I'll just let it go.

What you will receive: Just the laptop (100% working) + carraying case

Payment method: I no longer accept paypal anymore because of bad experience several months ago. (http://www.notebookforums.com/thread112095-2.html)
Money orders or checks are preferred method of payment.
Local pickup is avaible. (Vancouver, BC, CA)

Shipment: I pay for the shipping and I will declare it as a gift. Of course, I promise no DOA.

You gotta be kidding me, $950 cannot even buy an Inpiron 9300 with high specs

About 10 days ago I sold my own 9300 for an even grand, in order for a quick sale to pick up my current M1710. Look up the Specs I had on my 9300, before you say something like that.

do you have any pictures you can post

does it have the docking bay connector underneath

is there a warranty left

are you sure it is the ac adapter and not the notebook that is broken otherwise there is no way to power it or charge the battery

I would possibly like to buy it, but you'll do better if you put up pictures, and buy another ac adapter so it's complete and working right out of the box. Most people don't like to buy partials, just a built-in mental block that humanity has. Which adapter did you buy that didn't work? That's kinda weird.

Oh, ya I will definitely buy the AC adaptor beforce I list it on ebay.

The adaptor I bought was Dell Inspiron 5150/5160/XPS 130W PA13 family adaptor. The laptop could not determin the charger after self-test. I asked Bal thzar and he told me it was true that XPS GEN2/M170 BIOS could not determin some of the PA-13 family charger......

Inspiron 9300 is a value-performance solution but XPS is a highend hardcore gaming solution. They are not comparable to each other. Even a highest specs Inspiron 9300's price < starting price of XPS M170

Actually, the only thing that was different about the XPS was that you could order it with the 6800U and 7800GTX, that was it (aside from the flashy color of course). As it stands, the laptops are identical. Right now, my 9300 is speced out as such:

2.23 P-M
2GB DDR2-4200
80GB 5400 HDD
7800GTX
DVD+/- DL

- an XPS of similar (or exact same) specs could only command 50-100 more becuase of the different case (if that). Other small aspects would be remaining warrenty and such, but that is trivial and a case by case issue.
