Okay... heres the story.. i bought my lappy from a company here in the dominican republic, got it from some store that sells computers here.. it was still in the original box that dell shipped it in, anyway on the box the information that is there is for another store called bam technology in miami, which probably sold it to the store here in the d.r. but anyway! i just want to know what do i need to do to put the lappy in my name as the owner instead of the bam technology people

Questions About Ownership Transfer

Just go to the dell site and fill in the ownership transfer form.
It will ask for the express service code, service tag, the previous owner's information and your information.
So, make sure you have the information for the store (original purchaser) so you can get the form filled out.
Also, once it is filled out... it should take a few days for it to be transferred into your name (then you can check with dell chat if you are still experiencing issues)
Hope this helps
