E1505 Problem with Type H xD cards (High Speed)

I have an Olympus SP-350, and I got a regular 128mb xD card with the camera. I just recently bought a High Speed Type H Olympus 1gb xD card. it works fine in my camera, but it won't read on my dell e1505 using the built in card reader. my old card works fine. i also have an external card reader, and the high speed works fine through the external card reader. why won't my dell read the card?? wtf?

Call Dell and report the problem and use the external card reader until Dell releases a new driver to fix the issue, if they can/will do so.

already did that. they have no clue what type h means, and they say it should work. if not, they told me to contact olympus and ask for software. i called olympus, and they have nothing
