Is m1210 vista premium ready?

Iv to get my m1210 (with AV package + Nvidia 7400), and was wondering would it be vista premium ready?. Can I have the full Aero experience without any "choppiness".

My config:
core 2 duo 1.83ghz
1gb RAM
nvidia 7400
80GB 5400 RPM HDD

Well the premium specs are a bit confusing.

# If the GPU uses shared memory, then no additional graphics memory is required beyond the 1 GB system memory requirement; If the GPU uses dedicated memory then 128MB is required.

The 7400 uses both.

Vista RC1 runs ok and should only get better as it gets more optimised.

I ran RC1 on my M1210 and it ran slow and choppy with Aero enabled. I have the same specs as you pratap21. But like the other guy said, Vista will get better and run better with the final release build.

Maybe you'll be better off with 2GB, but it will probably run fine. Does RC1 allow you to use a USB Thumb drive as RAM? I'm waiting to see how that works out. I have a 2GB Sandisk Cruzer, so it would be awesome if I can plug it in and get 4GB of ram.

Yes you can use it as RAM. It's called ReadyBoost. I'm using a flash drive on my desktop now. Works great!

That's awesome! I didn't install RC1 since I've read that it's still somewhat buggy....but I'm sure I'll upgrade when they release the retail version next year.
