Okay guys I'm racking my brians here trying to find the exact performance between the 2.33 and the 2.16 and is it worth the extra $225. I know it's only 17ghz difference but these chips are on different speed scale chart than older cpu's.

do you know if the 2.33 would work on a e1705?

if i were you i wound go with the t7200 whats important its the features, the ghz at this stage are just not worth it. I myself have a T7400 and its great, but if you want to save there will be no difference between both.

the 2.33 is not worth the tiny speed advantage you would gain.

the T7200 screams... no need for anything faster... yet.

So what you guys are saying is I should go for the 2.0 instead of the 2.16 ? I always figure I should go with the middle man chip. Than again what are the specs in speed form the 2.0 to 2.33 or 2.0 to 2.16, will I really notice a difference?

Welp I just realized since I'm trying to buy the red m1710 I have to get the 2.16...oh well that answers that.

Based on clock speed difference alone, the 2.33 part is clocked 8% faster that the 2.16. In practice, you will be lucky to see 5% difference and only then with a CPU bound application. Only you can answer whether that is that worth $225 to you.
