i have wanted to get this laptop for a long time and would like to know what performance i can expect to get out of it.

i am not a hard core gamer but i do play ocasionally


heres the specks

2.0 ghz core 2 duo processer
1 gb shared dual channel ddr2 sdram ram
60 gig 5400 rpm sata drive
256 mb ati mobility radeon
windows media center edition
15.4 inch true life screen
24x speed cd burner/dvd combo

all for just over 1 grand


would i be able to say, play morrowind and wow on this?

You should be able to play Morrowind and WoW on it without a problem. I suggest you upgrade to a DVD burner and larger hard drive though. Look around for the 20% off coupon if you are looking to order from Dell Home. If you're a student you could order through Dell EPP and use the $200 off $999 coupon which you can purchase on eBay as well as there are other coupons that will stack. That configuration there should not cost you over a grand.

I play Quake 4 Med settings, Half Life 2 EP1 High settings, FEAR Medium Settings, all Play nicely on my E1505, you will do fine....enjoy..

I just got something very similiar to your config except larger HDD (120GB) and the DVD burner for just about 1178 after 20% off.

From what I have been reading, we should be able to play all of the latest games at least at medium settings with a playable frame rate.

I was going to go with EPP at first (from school) but taxes and shipping alone came out to just over $120. Not to mention, the EPP left out some of the options I wanted.

You could try calling them. I ordered mine this afternoon and I was sent the "Aknowledgement" email and "Confirmation" email at the same time only a couple minutes after I finished the payment process and everything.

ok i went on dell.com and it said it was being built.

i never got the emails but its in production

now i play the stage game

how long does prebuild usually take and on the dell order status sight does it say the date its finished a thing or the date it begain?

also there are check marks on the side that bear no relation to the dates?

????

Im not sure how long Pre-Build takes. It depends on parts availibilty.

The check mark show up after they have been completed. The given shipping dates are just estimated however Dell gives alot of clearance for those. Usually, they are shipped before that date from what I have read.

Well I had to change something (XP Pro with CD) and now my order does not show up in my account status page, it only shows the canceled order. I called 2 times and they say the order is a go and they would send a email but no emails.
When I changed the order I was given the 16 for ship date then when I called to see why I didn't get a email she gave me the 10th again like the first order.

Congrats man!

Did you get a tracking # right after boxing was finished? Also, is it with DHL or UPS?

I am hoping mine gets out today but its already 8PM Eastern so... You think their's still a possibility?

I was given the wrong order number and that is why I coudn't find it online, but it still wont show up when I am logged in. Just on a order page when I am not logged in.
