ok so i got it yesterday at about 5 oclock
1.packaging
not much to sya here exept that the lappy was snug as a bug inside.

a.screen- i LOVE the 15 inch widescreen ive never had a lappy w a screen this big so it seems huge to me. its a little glossy which i like because it gives anice crisp look. also NO dead pixels at all

b.keyboard-nice and big, responds nice

c. touchpad- i never really liked the pad until i got this thing before this i had only had ibm lappys. the touchpad is nice and the scroller bars are really nice to

d.speakers-MAN these things ar LOUD they are the loudest laptop speakers i have ever heard. nice quality to.

e.graphics card- i got the advanced graphics card and although i havent pushed it yet it plays morowind on full everything

f.core2duo-i got the 2.0 speed and while its not lightning it multitasks more than my 2.4ghz compy

g.hard drive- can get pretty warm expesially when ur playin a game but nothing to extreme

h.media edition- its basically home edition but i kinda think it runs smother than home

h.cd-rw/dvd- havent tried burning anything yet but the dvd is suprisingly fast
3.casing has a very nice sleek look to it and the white trim really leaves a nice touch, however i dont like the dell badge on the back its just a little to big.

4.battery-charged quik and when playing morowind lasted just over 2 hours without playing a game though and everything turned down or off it comes in at just under 4 hours

5.crapware- ok heres were the rating goes downhill. SO MUCH CRAPWARE it severywhere! it takes 4ever to get rid of. im still not done

two things though. with the config i got the lappy is thin but heavy!
the other is that this has the coolest cooling system ever! a huge heatsink, 2intakes near the keyboard, and two intake/outakes on the side. the fan hardly ever runs unless your playin a game.

i just got mine too!
I love this thing too but all the dell crap is crazy. I tried the de-crapifier and it did not do much good, better but so many processes still running. I just requested the backup cd's so i can reformat, although i am still apprehensive about doing so.if you guys go the re-format route, let me know how it goes or where you found out how to do it. I know they are other forums on this but couldn't find one with details for the e1505.
