HP Pavilion dv2000 - Something Wrong With The Touch Pad?

Thread Starter
hi there,

just purchased the dv2000t last month. like all the superb specs except for the touch pad.

i think the touch pad is quite difficult to use, it's metal! sometimes or quite sometime, i am out of control of my own cursor.

anybody had the same prob?

i need to turn off the touch pad and use my mouse via usb whenever i am a business conf or meetings. it's quite annoying when people see me out of control of my own touch pad....

appreciate any leads or feedback

I think that there are many, many of us who've had the same issue with the touchpads. The reason I went with my DV1000 was the button to turn the touchpad off, which I do quite often. Without the button, you have to use the software methods (control panel -> mouse -> properties -> disable) and I don't believe there are any shortcuts.

Nope. The touchpad has been superb for me. Change the sensitivity ?
