A05 bios upgrade on I9300: battery led flashes constantly

Hi,

After installing the A05 bios on my I9300 I now have constantly flashing red battery led, even when it's full.

More importantly windoze refuses to start and loops endlessly at the first progress bar stage. Fortunately I use mostly my Linux partition, but still.

Any hint on what could be the problem? Or should I just downgrade to A04?

Thanks

I would first re-download A05 bios and flash via dos (not windows or cmd prompt) and see if that fixes/helps.. if not then a downgrade to A04 would be a option.

Good luck

thanks

Thanks for your suggestion, it worked apparently: no more flashing red battery.

Is upgrading bios from windoze (instead of from DOS) considered a bad thing?

I have always had problems upgrading *any* type of bios from windows (even firmware like for your dvd rom etc..) so I always go thru dos and save myself the hassle.
Plus, when I am upgrading something as important (and finiky) as a bios/firmware.... I like to do it in an environment with as little processes/background programs running as possible to exclude any possible conflics.... so DOS works great.

I am glad you got it to work!!

My battery led always flashes when near full (at around 90 percent and charghing) and it still flashes when the battery is full to the max.
Weirdness...
