There must be a way when importing photo's from camera to select only some photo's instead of having to import all. I haven't found it yet....anybody know how to do it ..if its possible ?

what r u trying to avoid? importing pictures that u don't want moved or are u running into repeated pics after u've taken additional ones? if it's the latter, u can just let iPhoto import the new ones and not waste time on the ones u already have in there.

Select your camera in the list and hit enter twice.

Thanks for both responses...sorry my post was not complete. Here's the story, sometimes I don't erase the memory card(might want to put contents on another computer) so I have already loaded those and then take more photo's on same card and just want to import only new photo's. But when I go to import I get everything including what I have already imported before. I don't know how to just get new pictures. Thanks in advance for your response.

iphoto cant just do "some" ive been kinda pissed abou tthi sfor a while too.

it imports all pictures unless some have already been added to library. one thing ill say for windows is, i like how when you plug a digicam in and it sees it as a removable HD, osx isnt capable of this, at least i never see a "hd" pop up on the desktop for my canon a400 (which is completely compatible with osx)

every camera i've plugged in gets mounted as a drive in the finder and desktop. so u can typically go into the memory card in the finder and grab and copy over what u want.

u can do what kakaze mentioned or as noted, if u have already imported previous pictures, taken more pictures, and just want the new ones imported then just let the card mount and hit the import button. when iPhoto detects duplicate pics on your memory card it will ask you if you want to import duplicates. u can select "import" or "don't import" and check "apply to all duplicates", and u'll get just the new ones. if however u have copied your first batch to another computer then obviously iPhoto will just see the whole set as being new, and the finder or "shift enter enter" options will work for you in manually copying ones u want in iPhoto.

Not all cameras mount on the desktop—which does kinda suck. My Canon doesn't mount either, but I've never had a problem doing what I wanted with it.

kakaze, what kinda methods do you use with your syncing of canon camera and the mac?

just curious. i only see iphoto, and this other more simplistic thing, forget what its called, but maybe image capture something?

I use iPhoto. Any images I've already put on computer won't be put on again and any I don't want I can delete or select individually with iPhoto or Image Capture.

I honestly can't see what your problem is.
