Core 2 Duos in the Outlet

I checked this morning, as I have been doing since the release of Core 2 Duo, and today I saw Core 2 Duo as an option in the dropdown!

Now it's just a matter of a m1210 with dedicated graphics to appear.

Finally!

And as many have said, I see no major impact to the price.

wow, browsing around there, i was surprised to see that there are 4 xps gen1's sitting around the outlet.

Core 2

I picked up an m1210 in the outlet yesterday for my wife with with a Core 2 Duo T5600 and the GeForce Go 7400 for only $1009. I could not believe it. I had been keeping a very close eye on the outlet trying to find her an m1210. I was picky about getting the GeForce 7400, but I did not expect to get one with a Core 2 Duo. Granted I got one of the lower end Core 2s, but still, for only $1009 it can't be beat.

Her notebook shipped this morning... which is more than I can say for the one I recently ordered. For the full story on that see my thread in Dell General.

If your looking for one in the outlet just be patient and check frequently and you will find what you want.

Nice man! I think I saw that one too. I'm still holding out for a 2.0 GHz with the 7400. I got time.

I really would like for you to update me with the screen. Is it good? Let me know please.

More Core 2 Duo processor options were added this morning. I saw 2 2.0s and 1 2.16 Ghz.

Prices were low, just didn't have the 7400. Almost there!

Congrats man! Glad to hear you got what you wanted. My wife's was shipped out last Saturday, but we still have not received it. I'll let you know about the screen when we get it.

Mine is supposed to ship a week from today. Kind of strange for the Outlet, but oh well. I'm happy!
I ordered last Friday and the estimated ship date was a week out for me as well. Then I got a message on Saturday saying that it had shipped. The only problem I'm having now is that the status has remained "In Transit to Local Carrier" ever since and because of that I don't have a tracking number... Oh well. I guess it will get here when it gets here and not a moment sooner.

I'm betting yours will ship tomorrow, but it will likely still be a week before you actually get it. Funny, I just noticed you are in Columbus, OH too! Looks like we're in for the same waiting period.

Hopefully it will ship tomorrow. That would cut it back a week.

Congrats on the purchase. I've decided to go the outlet route as well. For those that have been keeping an eye on the outlet lately, do they typically put systems on in the morning, or are they likely to show up at any time during the day?

I bought like 5 notebooks from the Outlet, and based off of what I've seen, it gets refreshed throughout the day. Seems like at least every 15 minutes to me. Just keep that browser open and keep clicking submit.

Thanks ec. Sure enough, I saw a core 2 duo show up a bit ago. I'll keep my eyes open for the nvidia card too and report back if/when I have some luck.

I got a c2 duo for $950..1.86, 60gig, 7400go. Can't beat it!

Wow, that's a great deal for one with a 7400.

accelerant, you were right man! It ended up shipping the same day I ordered it. Delivery estimate is Monday - Wednesday of next week, instead of Monday - Wednesday two weeks from now.

Check out this heavy hitter.

Looks like somebody regretted the 4GB of RAM, haha!
Thats awsome! Glad to hear your computer is on the way ec4912.

To everyone else who is taking advantage of the great outlet deals, congrats!

I finally called Dell and got a tracking number for my wife's computer. It should be here today! I will post back with info when it arrives.

I'm still trying this morning. No luck so far on the core 2 duo/nVidia spec'd machine I want. I've basically become like the characters on Lost. I just have to keep pushing the button!
Be patient Granite. Just check daily as often as you can. I checked frequently for four days before I saw the system I wanted. It does seem as though Core 2 systems are beginning to become more commonplace. Good luck!
Thanks accelerant. I'll keep it up. I'm surprised at some of the prices I've seen here. I've seen similarly spec'd setups showing up with just core duos going for 1400 or so. If I can get a similar price and setup as what some of you are getting I'll be ecstatic!
