Hi,
Just bought an Aspire 3620 about a month ago. Configured it to match up well with my desktop, all the usual applications--gmail notifier, pc-cillin, set up a wireless network. Already I've gotten the blue screen of death twice (hardware failure both times) and more lock-ups than I can count (including one that's happening as we speak, with the add or remove program feature having frozen on me, but the computer's still working otherwise so I haven't restarted yet). Last night the cooling fan started freaking out, surging and slowing down, cycling every few seconds and sounding like it was about to fly off its mooring. I've got the laptop propped on a rack to prevent overheating. Just as unstable a system as you can imagine. I was wary of buying an Acer, thought it was a risk, and now I feel like I got the short end of the stick. How can companies get away with selling such garbage?
