Hi all,

I received my laptop today, ad trying different things.

Before to write my review, and post my opinion, i have a question to sentia users.

The cpu fan seems to be loud for me, my cpu runs at 44 degree celsius, seems not be bad, but can be better.

I tried speedfan, but i cannot change or see the fan speed there, anyone tried this tool and successfully controlled the fan with this tool ?

I also tried notebook harware control, but it only play with intel speedstep and not playing with the fan control.

Or mayb is there any other tool to control the fan for this lappy ?

I'm preparing a big topic with all inconvenients regarding the laptop, but i also want to explain how to correct them.

The fan noise is THE most important prob for me, because it seems to run everytime in middle speed, while i think, it should run in low speed.

That is just too weird yours is the second I have read about a loud fan and I have used mine for hours and was at first worried that my cpu was overheating because I never heard it kick on even. I loaded notebook hardware control and I am running cpu 104 hard drive 88 right now after a good 2 hrs use so far...and I havent heard the fan kick on altho I know if I feel for it I can feel light airflow coming out, yep just felt it and a bit of breeze is coming out but its so darn quiet I wouldn't even know it without feeling for it.

I can make my fan kick on high for about 5 seconds when I change video resolutions, but using IE6 dvd shrink outlook express and photoshop pluw the wifi on, I havent noticed the fan kick on HIGH where I can hear it once yet...

Did I just get a good build with good thermal paste applied or ???

When i run th computer, it's perfect, we cannot hear the fan.

When entering i windows, all is good, the fan doesn't make noise, but after 2 or 3 minutes of running, the fan is running and doesn't stop.

BTW, it doesn't run at high speed, but at least, middle speed.

This is the an located at upper the memory module, do you have idea, my cpu run at 44 degree, it's a good temperature, so i'm wondering why the fan is running ?

Speedfan doesn't allow me to set fans peed.

Can you post me a screenshot of your motherboard infos using cpuid and a screenshot of the main window of speedfan ?

On speedfan, i only get hdd and acpi sensor but cannot set fan speed.
