Sager NP8887 New Touchpad Drivers !

Just thought I would let everyone know that the new Sager / Clevo touchpad drivers (version 7.2.5) have been poster on Sager's web site under the files for the 8887. Hopefully this driver will fix the only recurring problem after enabling hyperthreading with the new BIOS.

Just a quick update... These new touchpad drivers work flawlessly and fix the problems that occured after installing the Hyperthreading 3.04f.128 BIOS update.

Also, the modem drivers are newer on the Sager website than the ones that came on the drivers CD.

Otherwise, all of the other files including the audio and video seem to be the same drivers that came on the driver CD shipped with the 8887.

Thus, the driver CD can be used for all driver installs; except the modem and touchpad which should be obtained from Sager's web site.....

Hope this helps!

Do you mean the drivers found here on Sager Notebook's site? or the Clevo-Taiwan site?

Just checked... oddly enough the Clevo site is OLD and the Sager Notebook site is newer. Go figure. Maybe someone can check the chinese version of the Clevo site and see if there are any newer drivers there.

Yep, this is one time in which the Sager site has the more updated drivers (touchpad and modem only). Since the 888E model comes in 2 slight variants (8886 vs. 8887 both = 888E), you have to look at the Clevo site with some caution, mainly with BIOS updates.
