Bags/Cases/Sleeve Brands....

What would you guys recommend highly, and who to look out for?

I am looking at these brands

Timbuk2
crumpler
Brenthaven

I am trying to look at brands that make it specifically for laptops, not some hip JCPennys brand that made a case that has a slot large enough to slip a laptop into..I want it to be safe, and secure. You guys know what i am talking about

So, lets start a thread, ask and answer, everyone is curious about ways to keep their toys safe!

For a Neoprene sleeve, everyone seems to think Dr*Mo is the best way to go because it fits it with a 9 cell and 6 cell battery perfectly and material has more give to it

For a velcro sleeve, it seems the Case PC sleeve would be your best bet because it also accomodates your M1210 with a 9 cell and 6 cell battery

Waterfield designs

Check out Waterfield bags. They are expensive but the build quality is exceptional. Not to mention their customer service is amazing. Each order comes with a handwritten note telling you they appreciate your business. My last order they sent the wrong item. I e-mailed them and within two days they sent the correct item no questions asked. Their sleevecase fits my XPS Gen 2 like a glove.

Well, I figured people would have more to say about this because there are hundreds of bag threads, figured we could combine them all into one informational powerhouse...haha, ah well

Thanks for pointing out the Case PC, BowevelJoe. I've been looking at the Dr. Mo, but I think the Case PC is more along the lines of what I'm after. I'm ordering tomorrow.

I just bought this one (Timbuk2 Laptop Grip Sleeve):

It's got corderoy inside, great padding, and the m1210 with 9 cell fits perfectly into the "small" sized one. I throw the lappy into this case, then toss the case into my northface backpack (it ends up the same size as a normal college textbook). I tried out their basic sleeve with a velcro closure, and it fit great.

If any one wants me to take of pict of the 1210 in the case, let me know.

Yeah, I would like a picture of that, I was curious about some of Timbuk2's products

Here she is in the case:

It fits perfectly, and the bag is buff (all the clips and loops are metal, and the bottom part that you grap when you try to pull your laptop out is a rubbery/silicon patch that really helps).

Is it small enough to slip into another bag or is it meant to be a bag on its own?

It costs RM80 (It's around US$18.98). And it comes with a small combination lock too.

It fits the 6400 well. The material is "memory sponge".

I think I shall invest in the Small sized Timbuk2 grip sleeve. I will try to snipe on on ebay to save a bit of cabbage

sorry for not getting picture up of the timbuk2 case in a backpack (camera is freaking out. It fits just fine into my normal-sized northface backpack; It takes up as much room as one of those 2 inch binders that zip up.

No room for powersupply or mouse in it, but I throw those into the front of my backpack

I got just got a crumpler roll-o-notes bag. I don't think they make this specific model anymore, but it looks similar to their Hee-goer. I like it, but I think it would have been perfect if it was slightly roomier (the M1210 fits perfectly, but not much room for all the stuff I like to carry around).

I got the Timbuk2 Grip Sleeve, extra small I believe was the size. It fits snugly, just enough space to slide it in and zip it up with a 6 cell. Get the next size up if you have the 9 cell
