Z71 Vista Driver Thread

Thread Starter
I'm guessing since the Z71V is a pretty popular model and a lot of us will wan to start switching to Vista soon, we should make a list of what works and what doesn't.

In case any of you know how to fix any of the things that "don't work" please post the solution so we can all have a nice Vista experience

Works:
  • Sound
  • Wireless Card (2200BG)
  • Ambient Light Sensor
  • Burner
  • All MoBo Drivers
  • Front Audio Controls

Works Halfway:
  • Graphics Drivers (Performance is still low, can't overclock)
  • Wireless Turn On/Off Button

Doesn't Work:
  • Media Card Reader
  • Fn+F10/11/12 Volume Controls
  • Touchpad Disable Button
  • Power4Gear

Also: If you start the computer while unplugged it will not go past 800Mhz <-- I'd especially like some help with this

cheers!...

I have a custom power scheme in which i clearly state i want the processor to go from 40% to 100% of it's clock speed, BTW when it's plugged in it will stay @ 2133Mhz

Is the burner driver installed automatically by Windows or do I need to manually install that? I never manually installed a driver for the burner and when I try to burn a DVD I only get a 25 kb/s burn rate at a 8x speed. Which gives me an estimated time of 70 hours for just one DVD.
