Hey,

Have jus moved into university halls of residence. I have been given a cisco wireless card to access the university's internet and computer network (resnet). However I can't send and receive my home email accounts in MS Outlook anymore. I just keep getting this error message.

"Task 'samuel.davis@virgin.net' - Receivin' reported error (0x80040900) : The server name you entered can not be found on the network (it might be down temporarily). Please verif that you are online and that the server name is correct."

Anyone got any ideas> For I sooo need to get to my mail in MS Outlook or with something that will store it locally!

Does your virgin email use non-standard ports that might be blocked by a firewall ? all other internet stuff working ok?

You're probably going to have to contact your Uni's IT department and see if outside e-mail is blocked and/or what you need to do so you can get your home e-mail at school.
