Retrieving data from SATA laptop drive?

This may not be the appropriate forum for this, so if it's not, please point me in the right direction.

Since my 9880 died, I have been trying to think of a way to get the data off of the drive. It's a SATA notebook drive. I have seen usb 2.0 to sata kits but none that specify they will work with a notebook drive that is SATA.

Does anyone know of a kit or cable kit that will do this? I'd like to either be able to plug it in to the SATA controller on my desktop or even better, plug from the notebook drive into my usb.

Thanks in advance.

Thanks!
That looks like it will work well for my needs plus I can continue to use it as a backup drive.

Appreciate it.

Nice to see inexpensive 2.5 SATA enclosures finally come to market.

Fat chance..... These are USB or IEEE1394 devices and are not RAID - Especially RAID-0. Controllers needed, I believe are not available for these type of configurations; Now RAID-1 should work...
