Thanks for posting this. Downloading now...

I have already got two keys for public RC1. Do you think they'll work? Also, I presume this one is newer than public RC1?

Your previous keys will work.

Ive got this build running...seems a little better than RC1...took a few attaempts to get install to go through on my 9300, all other builds have installed first go.

Huh? That's weird that they released a BETA after the RC1. Just goes to show that even RC1 wasn't quite up to snuff. If this link stays around, I'll try to download it tomorrow. Thanks for posting it!

Will these keys be usable until the end of BETA? I don' want to reformat my system yet again if this key is only temporary.

Its normal...they do it do let us beta testers verify bugs that have been fixed...

is anyone else having this problem.

I used RC1 5600 so far and updated it to 5728. Now the sound doesnt work anymore off the speakers (external). I tried reinstalling dell drivers and all...it still doesn't work as it used to before in earlier builds. I got soo annoyed that I immediately formatted after using 5600 since it came out.

It was bad...becos I was actually considering of using it as a main OS. I always used to log on into vista rather than my MCE. actually vista runs cooler than MCE now.

64-bit direct download:
http://download.windowsvista.com/dl/...FRE_EN_DVD.iso

And 32-bit direct download:
http://download.windowsvista.com/dl/...fre_en_dvd.iso

Links above were attempting to use the 3rd Party Download Manager Applet. I'm sure enough people here don't care to use such a thing. =)

Also... if you log into your Live Account and click on the Download Now option from the WindowsVista.com page, it will give you additional Vista keys - no need to worry about running out. *wink*

I hope this new built won't be so crapy like built 5600, everyone say how good built 5600 are, but isn't, it won't work with NAS server, file refused to down load to different location even you have all the admin right, 9MB file take 25-30 minutes just to copy, when you replace file it ask to confirm admin right, when you are already in the admin account and it still refused to do a replace. so let see what this built got

I heard there is a new Nvidia beta driver for vista. Nvidia 97.43 from what I can gather. Is anyone hear a beta tester that could share these new drivers. From what I have heard the new driver has a working control panel..

Cheers

www.laptopvideo2go.com has the newest Vista drivers available. Check out their forums.
Just remember folks - this release has not gone under internal testing like RC1 did so this version will probably be a little bit more unstable.

The gentleman who mentioned these drivers to me was with the Nvidia beta testing community. I have searched High and low and have not dug up much info regarding Driver set 97.43 for vista. Apparently these drivers will only be released when Vista goes RTM. I was just hoping some one could leak them to us. So we could enjoy the newer drivers with a completly working control panel. Hopefully this driver set will also allow overclocking in Vista.

If any one could pass on info to us all it would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers

Toshiba has a new Bluetooth stack for RC1 released. This might help some people with issues and bluetooth. Here is the link.

Sad thing was my Motorola Headphones HT820 work now kinda. It was come and go. Just my luck.

Well hopefully this will help some people out with thier bluetooth issues.

Anyone tried to do an upgrade from build 5600 (RC1) with this update? I've tried four different times, and everytime, it gets to 12% of copying files then errors out saying it can't copy files because it's either corrupt or files are missing. I've burned 4 different DVD's...they all do the same thing.

Maybe I should try to redownload the ISO again?

This build seems like crap compared to RC1 5600 for me, slower with more bugs.

Whats the difference between the 32 bit and 64 bit version? I am assuming the 64 bit is better. Will it be able to run smoothly with a M1710 T2700 7900GTX?
