memory and apple care questions

Thread Starter
Ok so im planning on getting a macbook. I want to upgrade to 2gig memory. I have a few questions.

1) this doesnt void my apple care warranty?

2) how many memory slots does it have?

3) is apple care even worth getting, like if something happens do they fix it for free?

for instance if my lcd gets cracked or something do they fix it? my last notebook screen got cracked and dell said they would have replaced it if i could have got their complete care or whatever.

thanks.

Adding memory does not void your warranty.

There are two slots.

For a first generation MacBook definitely get AppleCare. You have a year from purchase to buy it. Unfortunately AppleCare does not support accidental damage—LCD cracking is considered accidental—only hardware defects such as dead hard drives and stuff.
