Sorry but I'm not too sure whether this is in the right section and if not, can a Mod please move it.

I have a ATI Mobility Radeon X1400 graphics card with Windows Media Center and was looking to update the driver but can't seem to find one. It doesn't seem to be on this list so can someone please help me.

Thank you

any particular error message when u tried to install it? might want to totally un.install the graphic (driver cleaner), let xp pick up the device and then install the driver.

Unfortunately, this software update can't be installed on your system. Please contact your notebook manufacturer for driver updates.

Cheers.

Also, when I play a movie in VLC Player or play Counterstrike Source I keep getting a BSOD message with regards to win32k.sys and ati3duag.dll.

I think they might be related to the graphics card (ATI Mobility Radeon X1400) but am not too sure.

the 6.9 drivers work with the x1400. I run them just fine.

Um, first download Driver Cleaner program, found here. Then uninstall the drivers in the control panel. Then boot into safe mode and use Driver Cleaner to clean the old ATI drivers. Then reboot back into regular Windows and try installing the new drivers.

As I keep getting BSOD messages I decided to run the Windows Memory Diagnostic. The results were that all six tests failed. Now I am running the Memtest and currently with 72% completed, there are 560000 errors and increasing.

I'm not really experienced with computers and not sure what to do now to try and fix this, any ideas? Is it just best to contact Dell as I'm still under warrenty and if so, what would cause these errors?

Thanks in advance.

^ Thanks for trying to help me.

Should I ask for new RAM modules or ask for a technician to check out the laptop? There may be a problem with the latter as I'm just about to move into university halls and not too sure if other people are allowed in.

Yes try and ask for new RAM modules if you can. Maybe your laptop/vidcard is overheating as well?
