I have an Acer Aspire 1690. My on-screen display has suddenly stopped working. Is there a way that I may have deactivated it? Any help appreciated.

Thanks for the reply. I mean the OSD for volume,Lan on/off, bluetooth etc. It's the green OSD for laptop functions.

Thanks qhn!
My I had close launch manager and that seems to be the reason. I'm sure that I have always closed launch manager in the past and the OSD has continued to work but oh well. Thanks for your help!

I'm also having a problem with this not working except only the volume levels do not display onscreen. Everything else including mute, caps lock, etc. displays on screen just fine. Launch Manager is set to load on startup and is loaded when this happens. Volume control using the Fn button does work but it just doesn't display the levels on the screen.

Any ideas on how to get the volume level display back? Thanks!!

Did you happen to install a Logitech driver? Older versions are known to interfere with Launch Manager.

Actually, I upgraded my current logitech driver from 3.00 to 3.10 and now that I think about it that is when it stopped working. Should I revert back to version 3.0 or is there another method of resolving the issue?

Maybe the order of installation matters (look at DarthAcers post in this thread), but if it worked in 3.0 qand you really don't need anything in the newer version, just go back.

Thanks for the tip! I reinstalled Launch Manager and everything is working as it did before the Logitech software upgrade. Thanks again!!
