When I saw your post my jaw dropped. I thought you must be kidding.

The longer I lerk on this board, the longer I understand why people love Sagers. Over the past couple of weeks I've seen the newest intel chip introduced, a bios update for it, new warranty on screens (better for customer), price drops, and now a dvd added. And maybe more stuff I forgot about. I'm impressed. All the while Dell sits with a year old laptop. Hmm...

It seems to be a Toshiba SD-6012 who's bunddled with 8887 notebook, I read the specs on Toshiba's web page and this is the link Toshiba SD-6012 notebook DVD-RW , it is a DVD-R/DVD-RW (1X) ~ 1 hour to burn a DVD-R/DVD-RW (4.377GB).

It is cool to see it here now, but I think it is a bit slow compared to 4X external DVD burners. But you have not to carry out an AC power and the device itself out of you notebook.

If you care very much compatibilities i suggest to take a look on Lacie DVD-RAM, DVD-R, DVD-RW, CD-R, CD-W, CD-ROM, DVD-ROM External DVD burner Firewire, it is USD$ 400.

I would prefer to choose internal even the speeds.
