e1505 cpu upgradeable?

I'm thinking about buying an e1505 that has a core duo 1.66ghz in it. Would I be able to upgrade to a core 2 duo 2.0ghz or the like in a few months? I can get a great deal on this core duo 1.66ghz setup right now. Is there even much difference between core dueo and core 2 duo for basic everyday tasks? Dont play games much but do edit/record music from time to time and multitask often.

thanks

Unless you're doing video encoding, image editing etc; and even if, you probably wouldn't notice any difference unless you were benchmarking the two systems. CPU speed is pretty overrated for a lot people out there. You'll be just fine with that cpu. I'm waiting for my e1505/6400 to arrive, and ordered it with the 1.6ghz t2050. I actually do video editing and photoshop stuff and in my opinion there wouldn't be a huge enough difference to justify the cost in going to a t7200 c2d. Use the extra money saved for accessories or if you really want c2d, go with the cheaper processor for now and wait for the prices to come down. The c2d should be a relatively easy drop in swap as the new e1505 bios (A08) supports the c2d's.
