Cheapest way to get a new MBP or iMac?

The top end MBP and 23" iMac has my eye.

I'm eligible for a 10% discount through my corproation, but I was wondering if there was anywhere or way to get a larger discount.

Standard configuration top of the line 17" MBP with my discount is $2,575.00 pre-tax.

And the standard config 23" iMac with the discount is $1,880.00 pre-tax.

Any tips or advice on getting them cheaper?

but i doubt since they just came out your gonna find them for cheap right away. use the corp discount, and just be happy.

You may be able to get an educational discount if you or someone in your immediate family is a full-time student. Although, EDU discounts are usually about 10%, so probably won't do any better. Amazon tends to have mail-in rebates for Apple systems, but I think they work out to about 7%. The ADC developer program has 20% discounts, but joining isn't cheap and unless you buy a very well loaded Mac Pro, you'll never recover your initial ADC membership fees.

So, yeah... Just take your 10% and be happy. it's better than what most of us can get. The majority of us all have to live with Apple's store (online or local) or another authorized dealer or Amazon and other than the occasional mail-in rebate or included "free" cheap-ass printer promotion, we pay full price. :-/
