Formatting LG P1

Thread Starter
I just got a LG P1 and i wanted to do a fresh install with windows and set it up my own way. Anyways i had a genuine windows xphome cd that came with my previous computer, so i used it and when i got to the setup screen and i asked it to install windows it said no hd's are detected. Next I looked through the supplied discs and found a recovery cd which worked. Can anyone explain why that is? The recovery cd was just a windows xp home cd, and there isn't any hidden recovery partition on the hard drive. Any help is appreciated.

Hey mate
Its because of an Enhanced S-ATA option in the bios. Im using a P1 right now, and I also had the need to format/reinstall Windows XP Pro that I had from a previous computer. Basically, you need to go into the bios at Boot-up and disable Enhanced S-ATA. Thats all i changed in the bios and it got rid of the No HD error.
Hope this helps.
