Keyboard not working correctly

Ok, I've posted about this problem before. My left arrow, right arrow, Home, Del, PgUp, PgDn, etc. buttons were not working correct. Rather than moving the cursor left, "5wreq" is inserted. Another example, the delete button opens Windows help, or mozilla help, etc, depending on what's open.

Now here's the problem.. People keep saying "its spyware, its spyware", but I don't understand how I have reformatted twice since this problem started, I run Spybot S&D, adaware, and ewido almost every day, but the problem persists.

and if its spyware, why can I use a USB kb and everything is mapped perfectly? Makes no sense...
So, no I'm here. This has to be a hardware problem... right? A blown fuse or something inside? I don't know what else to do. If people think it will help I'll reformat AGAIN, but I just about give up.

This is a brand new Z96J. Who would I contact? Asus or the person I bought it from? Not sure what to do... Any help appreciated, I'm really tired of this. I consider myself pretty good with computers, but this problem just seems unfixable.

As always, contact your reseller first [especially since it's a Built on ASUS, not ASUS Ensemble brand].
Good luck!

On a side note, if the general reader comes here for technical advice [such as hardware failure] because you don't have enough confidence in your reseller... well, you probably shouldn't have bought from them.
All good ASUS resellers should be able to handle their customer's technical needs.

Oh, its not like that at all. I just wanted to make sure it was a hardware problem before I bugged him. Idk, its got nothing to do with confidence

But yeah, I tried running Knoppix, which is an OS that runs off CD only, and the problem was still there, so I'm pretty sure its hardware related.

have you try boot to DOS A:\ promt to test it? if you don't have on you can downlaod the NERO Image file I made and boot to A:\ promt so you can test your KB in DOS only.

Edit:
actually you can just test it in BIOS, hold F2 at Intel logo screen when you first power up the notebook, you can test arrow keys and pg up/pg dn to see if it works in BIOS.

Or if you want to try re-map the keybaord by download the Keyboard Change Utility, download it to your C:\ root directory, you'll need to boot to DOS or use the BETA BIOS CD to do boot to A:\ Promt and then go to your C:\ and run the utility from there.

I didn't mean to start anything like this, sorry to everyone. Eddie is great and I have all the confidence in the world in him, otherwise I wouldn't have ordered from him.

If anything was started, it's not your fault.
Not the last time we heard that Eddie...

Thats running dos.. taken with my phone so excuse the quality.

But I saw this thread, http://www.notebookforums.com/showthread.php?t=167798, seems like a similar problem. Perhaps its the keyboard connector/controller in mine too.

So why don't you just send it in for repair?
