Just a quick update with some impressions of my new 8887 after about 4 days.
First, as far as I can tell, my machine has no dead or stuck pixels.
Secondly, I am running it at the native resolution setting 1600x1200 and it's only taken me a few days to get used to the smaller look. In many ways I like it better because I can see more stuff on the screen now and as someone else said on the forum, I'm sitting close enough to the screen so that the smaller size is still perfectly visable.
All in all, I am 100% satisfied so far with my purchase.
