New Core 2 Duo laptop choice?

So I'm supposed to get a new laptop for Christmas/birthday this year. I've been looking into the Acer core 2 duo laptops. But I don't know which one to get. I'm basically looking for a midrange graphics (7600/x1600) and core 2 duo for about 2000 dollars.

I've been looking into the Travelmate 8210, Aspire 5680, and Aspire 9120.

The pricing hasn't been released yet (at least to my knowledge), so what do you think these will cost?

Also, when it comes to performance, how do the 7600 and the x1600 compare?

The NVidia cards are better for professional apps where ATI is completely useless (I am not kidding. I have a X1600). Professional apps means that NVidia is better about supporting the OpenGL standard properly whereas ATI only has the bits and pieces working that are needed for games, ie Doom 3.

ATI is better for games though.

The X1600 also has a noise issue which may or may not annoy you. See here, Asus fixed this for their laptops and I am hoping Acer will follow soon.

I have a TM8204 and apart from the various screen issues it's terrific. Acer support is excellent in general. Does the TM8210 have a glossy screen?

I won't be playing the newest games, so gaming performance doesn't really matter THAT much to me. I'm looking to run CS:S, warcraft 3, BF2, etc.

are there any guesses on how much these will cost? i really don't want to spend more than $2000. preferably in the 1700 range.
